t-rex tragedies

Stuffed Herr Johann and Pelle in the Donna Karen tote then off to Dotties for brunch...
kept hearing about the good food and atrocious two-hour long lines so finally decided to check it out. Great diner (totally worth a try) and there was no line.
(P.S. i think this tote makes me understand the dilemma of being with someone high maintenance. it's so HEAVY and every time I arduously lug it around i vow never to use it again..but it's so pretty...and i get seduced to take it out again.)

I like the feeling of diners - like I'm in a time of the past or road tripping back from a hiking, snowboarding or some other 'stuff-white-people-like' weekend excursion (rock-climbing! yea! rock-climbing!)

Then I went to the Japanese Grocery Market to get some sushi, okra and keem, and found myself in the middle of the Cherry Blossom Festival surrounded by drunk Japanese people in panda hats eating mochi on the stick.

I miss Japan. I love how absolutely absurd it is. The ridiculous extravagance juxtaposed with exquisite refinement, and everyone is so courteous! No obstreperous blabbing on a cell phone in the metro. Even the chaoticism of Harajuki has a neatness about it, decent sushi in a 7-11 at nearly any hour of the day, and you can get my sister's CDs!

Whoa, they sell Esther's CDs in Japantown?! Or were those actually in Japan?

Btw, nice touch w/ the t-rex wearing the shrimp head.
